WESTERN SICILY - EGADI ISLANDS

Sailing holidays 100% relaxation and nature

The best destination for families and groups of friends who love peace and contact with nature. As soon as you leave the Palermo tourist port of Marina Villa Igiea (our base) in the Palermo tourist port, just head west and in 90 nM you can reach the fabulous Egadi Islands. But our guests will love a stop in San Vito lo Capo and its stupendous marine reserves, both on the outward and return journeys..

The Egadi Islands are not well known by non-Italians, and outside the peak period of the Italian holidays of July-August, tourism is not too intrusive: those who come here do it for the chill-out atmosphere, certainly not for the glamour.

There are services for tourists - excellent restaurants, cafes, shops and various services such as bicycle rental and walking tours , but whatever you do, you will always encounter a very authentic and welcoming local atmosphere. It's truly remarkable how easily and quickly one finds oneself in a different world: wandering around the fish stalls where Favignana fishermen sell their catch, or sipping wine at a café table as a local wedding spills from the Madrice Church into the expansive square , where children play on bicycles.

Island of Favignana

It is the largest and perhaps the busiest, especially thanks to its crystal clear waters and unique bays such as Cala Rossa. Breathtaking limestone cliffs tumble into the cobalt blue sea, endless horizons abound and mountain trails offer wonderful walks.

Marettimo Island

Marettimo is largely preserved by tourism, uncontaminated in its waters and in its terrestrial nature, for this reason the island is a real hideaway, a calm and relaxing place, silent for most of the year. Its coast is of great charm: numerous sea caves pierce the Dolomite cliffs overlooking the sea, such as the Grotta del Cammello, which houses a pebble beach and the remains of a Roman settlement. You can only get there by sailboat, take advantage of it!

Island of Levanzo

Levanzo, the smallest, but no less inviting, is a very hilly island: a large part of the coast is made up of rocky cliffs overlooking the sea, while reserving beautiful beaches. Everything here is essential, but adorable: there is only one village (Cala Dogana), one road, two shops, two hotels and two restaurants. Peace and quiet are assured and the stressful life of the city soon becomes a distant memory.
